Last Minute Groceries

Any one realizing that tomorrow is Christmas Eve and you don't have the grocery items you need for your fancy dinner, family get together, or that big breakfast Christmas Morning? Well let me tell you about some good prices that I found at City Market, prices are with your savings card. (Though I found more deals last week, but that was before I started this blog.)

• Ham - $1.49/lb for shank or butt portion OR $1.99 for a spiral sliced ham (Kroger Brand).

First Post

I've decided to create a place where I can share all my money saving advice. I am a HUGE bargain shopper and try to save money as much as possible. I love sharing what deals I find with others and this is going to be the easiest way to do it. Here are a few things I would recommend doing:

1. If you have a savings card with your local Kroger store (Smiths, City Market, etc) I HIGHLY recommend creating an account on their website (seriously stop and do it right now). This is the #1 I save money on groceries. They have coupons you can upload right to your card and it's stuff you'll actually buy. PLUS on Friday's they have a freebie that you can download and get something for FREE!
2. There are a few apps/sites you can use where you upload your receipt and you earn money back. There are 2 that I have used in the past, "Checkout 51" and "Snap by Groupon." It's just another way to save.
3. Follow "Coupons for Utah" on facebook or check their website out (http://www.coupons4utah.com/) they will often let you know how to combine coupons on various things, as well as post other deals.
4. Be on groupon. I don't use groupon a ton, but it is a great resource. I know they will have things on memberships at your bulk stores (Costco & Sam's Club) occasionally.  Check it out.

I live an hour away from a real grocery store so I am always planning out my trips and checking the ad every week. I do my grocery shopping at City Market in Cortez, CO so most of my post will be Kroger coupons and deals in the ad at City Market. Often if there is a deal at City Market it will also be at other Kroger stores such as Smiths.
