There were lots of coupons on cleaning products, diapers, baby food, coffee, dental care, medicine, laundry, dish soap, cereal and more. Be sure to grab all the coupons you think you'd possibly use (remember it doesn't hurt you to load them to your card and then not use them).

City Market Ad 4/22-4/28

It's been a while since I posted a weekly ad, but am hoping to be back here each week with my ad finds. This week there is a buy 4 save $4 deal going on. Here is what I have found in this week's ad...

This week I wanted to also give some extra tips on saving money at the grocery store. 

1. Don't buy Organic. It will cost you SO much more and I personally don't think it's any better than the non-organic stuff. I NEVER buy organic anything.
2. In your Kroger store there will be various places where they will have marked down items which will have a "Manager's Special" sticker. These are items that they need to sell ASAP or just don't look good (for example bakery items that were dropped and don't look nice). There is usually one in your meat department, in the frozen foods, sometimes in produce, in the deli, and over in dairy. Learn where they are in your store and make it a point to check them every single time. In the past I have gotten PACKAGES of chicken for $1 which is an incredible find. These "Manager's Special" stickers will sometimes be on items throughout the store not just in the designated areas, so be sure to keep a watch out for them.
3. ALWAYS check out the digital coupons. It takes like 2 seconds to download those coupons to your card. If you don't use them it's ok, but you really can get lots of savings. The thing is they have coupons for the things you ACTUALLY buy. I've gotten coupons for shampoo, mascara, canned goods, frozen food, and more. It's something easy, will save you money, and VERY doable, so just do it!

Sam's Club Membership

If you are thinking of getting a NEW membership with Sam's Club, now is a good time to do it. For $45 you get a Sam's Plus Membership (their best one and normally $100), a $20 gift card, AND free food certificates. We got our membership in a similar deal and it has been so worth it. Hogle Zoo

As the weather gets warmer, the more we all want to be outside. One of my favorite places to go to enjoy the warm weather is Utah's Hogle Zoo. But going to zoo can be expensive when you've got kids. Well here is a good way to save and still take the kiddos to the zoo. Right now at participating Wendy's locations, get a FREE child’s admission to Utah’s Hogle Zoo with adult purchase on a collectible cup when you buy any large combo meal. Kids Bowl Free

Summer is still a few months away, but there are already deals going on to help entertain those kiddos during those summer months. UPDATE (1/28/15): I went shopping on 1/24/15 (I bought things from this post mostly) and was able to save over $70 and just by uploading coupons and buying things on sale. I promise if you check out the ads and know what a good sales price is you'll save money on your groceries.

With the new year usually comes the age old revolution to get healthy/lose weight/get in shape. I started a Jazzercise class here in Mussi and decided I should look for some sweatbands to help keep the sweat out of my eyes/contacts. Here are a few deals I found on Amazon...
